MARRIAGE
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
1.
Applicants must be 19 years of age. If either applicant is 17 or 18 years of
age, a notarized form giving consent to the marriage of a minor must be
completed and signed by the applicant’s legal guardian. No one under the age of 17 may be legally
married in the State of Nebraska.
2.
Proof of identity and age must be provided
along with the applicant’s social security number. If no Social Security number
then the applicants must sign an affidavit in front of the County Clerk or Administering
Officer.
3.
If applicant has been previously married,
the date of dissolution or death must be provided.
A
Marriage License issued in the State of Nebraska is good for one year anywhere
in the State.
Marriage
Licenses are issued from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
The
Fee for the issuance of a Marriage License is $15.00
Attached
is a Marriage License form which may be
printed and filled out by the applicants and brought to the County Clerk’s
Office together with the necessary proof of identity for finalization.
